1、 主現(xiàn)從任意

如果主句是一般現(xiàn)在時，賓語從句根據(jù)需要，可以用相應(yīng)的任何時態(tài)。如：

I don't know when he will come back.

He tells me that his sister came back yesterday.

2、 主過從過 如果主句一般過去時，賓語從句用過去范疇的時態(tài)：

一般過去時 過去進(jìn)行時 過去將來時 過去完成時

The children didn't know who he was.

She said she was reading a book at seven last night.

Peter said he would come to see me tomorrow.

She said she had seen the film several times.

3、真理永不變。如果賓語從句所表示的是客觀事實(shí)、普遍真理、自然現(xiàn)象或習(xí)慣性動作等，不管主句用什么時態(tài)，賓語從句都用一般現(xiàn)在時

The teacher said that the earth goes round the sun。

四 賓語從句的引導(dǎo)詞

1、當(dāng)由陳述句充當(dāng)賓語從句時，賓語從句的引導(dǎo)詞用that.

that無實(shí)際意義，在口語或非正式文體中常省略。

He said (that) he could finish his work before supper.

2、當(dāng)由一般疑問句充當(dāng)賓語從句時，賓語從句的引導(dǎo)詞用if/whether引導(dǎo)，意為“是否”。if/whether不可省略。

I don't know if/ whether he still lives here after so many years.

3、特殊疑問句充當(dāng)賓語從句時，引導(dǎo)詞用：

連接代詞who, whom, whose, which, what

或連接副詞 when, where, how, why

He asked who could answer the question.

I wonder how you came here.

Would you please tell me when the professor will come?

在下列情況下只能用whether：

1. 和or或or not連用

Let me know whether/ if he will come or not.

=Let me know whether or not he will come.

2. 在介詞之后

I'm interested in whether he likes English.

We're thinking about whether we can finish the work on time.

I worry about whether I hurt her feelings.

3.和不定式連用

He hasn't decided whether to visit the old man.

I don't know whether to go.

He hasn't decided whether to go by bus or by train.
