賓語從句分類

1

由連接代詞或副詞引起的從句：

I'llsee what they need. 我去看看他們需要什么。

Tell mewho you are. 告訴我你是誰。

We don't knowwhere she is from. 我們不知道她是哪兒人。

跟whether或if引起的從句：

I wonder whether (if) you know her address. 不知道你是否知道她的地址。

但在下列情況下只能用whether：

①在具有選擇意義，又有or或or not時，尤其是直接與or not連用時，往往用whether(if…or not也可以使用)。如：

Let me know whether /if he willcome or not.(=Let me know whethe or not he will come)

I don't know whether/if he doesany washing or not.(=I don't know whether or not he does any washing.

I wonder whether we stay orwhether we go

②在介詞之后用whether。

如I'm interested in whether helikes English.我關(guān)心的是他是否喜歡英語。

We're thinking about whether wecan finish the work on time.

I worry about whether I hurther feelings.我擔(dān)心是否傷了她的感情。

③在不定式前用whether。如：

He hasn't decided whether tovisit the old man.他尚未決定是否拜訪那位老人。

I don't know whether to go.我不知去否。

He hasn't decided whether to goby bus or by train.他還未決定是乘公共汽車去還是坐火車去。

④whether置于句首時，不能換用if。如：

Whether this is true or not，I can't say.這是否真的我說不上來。

⑤引導(dǎo)主語從句和表語從句時宜用whether。如：

Whether she will come or not isstill a question.她是否能來還是個問題。

The question is whether we cancatch the bus.問題是我們能否趕上公共汽車。

⑥若用if會引起歧義時，則用whether。如：

Please let me know if you likethe book.可理解為：a. Please let me know whether you like the book.請告訴我你是否喜歡這本書。B. If you like the book, pleaselet me know.你如果喜歡這本書，請告訴我。

由關(guān)系代詞what或whether等詞引起的從句：

I'llbring you what you need. 我將帶給你需要的東西。

Give her whatever help she needs. 給予她一切她需要的幫助。

I'll readwhichever book you recommend. 我將閱讀一切你推薦的書。

You can ask whoever you can trust for help. 你可以請任何你能信賴的人幫忙。

由that引起的從句(that有時可省略)

It proved that the world wasround. 這證明地球是圓的。

I see(that) you have a lot of experience. 我看得出你很有經(jīng)驗。

That doesn'tmean we'll succeed. 這并不意味著我們就會成功。

I think she lives on Medison Street. 我想她住在麥迪遜大街。

第一類和第三類從句有時可作介詞賓語：

This reminded me of whatshe once told me.這使我想起她曾經(jīng)告訴我的話。

He saidnothing about who sent hime here.他沒講是誰派他來的。
