不定冠詞a/an的用法

在元音因素前用an，其余用a

1.用于序數(shù)詞前，表示“又一、再一”

2. 用于表示具有特性的人或物的專有姓名前，相當于a certain，某一

AMr. Wang called you this morning.

3.可視為一個整體的兩個名詞前

Please give mea knife and fork.

4.一些習慣或固定用法

定冠詞the的用法

巧記定冠詞the 用法歌訣：特指雙方熟悉，上文已經(jīng)提起。世上獨一無二，方位名詞樂器。

1. 用以特指某（些）人或事物

This is the house where Luxun once lived.這是魯迅曾經(jīng)住過的房子。

2. 用于指談話雙方都明確所指的人或事物

Open the door, please請. 把門打開。

3. 用以復述上文提過的人或事物（第一次提到用“a或an”，以后再次提到用“the“）

I have a black pen. This is the pen.

4. 用在序數(shù)詞和形容詞最高級前

January is the first month of the year.一月份是一年當中的第一個月。

Shanghai is the biggest city in China.上海是中國最大的城市。

5. 表示宇宙中世界上獨一無二的事物

the sun 太陽the moon 月亮theearth 地球the sky 天空the world 世界

6. 指由普通名詞構成的專有名詞

the West Lake西湖 the Great Wall長城 theUnited States美國

7. 表示方向、方位

in the east 在東方 in the west 在西方 in the front 在前面 at the back 在后面 in the bottom 在底部 at the top 在頂部 on the right 在右邊on the left 在左邊

8. 在海洋、江河、湖泊、山脈、海峽、海灣等地理名詞前

the Pacific Ocean 太平洋the Huanghe River 黃河the Tianshan Mountains 天山山脈the Taiwan Straits臺灣海峽

9. 在姓氏復數(shù)前，表示一家人

The Bakers came to see me yesterday.貝克一家人昨天來看我。

10. 和某些形容詞連用，使形容詞名詞化，代表一類人或物

the poor 窮人the rich 富人the sick 病人the wounded 傷員the good 好人the

beautiful 美麗的事物

11. 用在表示階級、政黨的名詞前

the working class 工人階級the ChineseCommunist Party 中國共產(chǎn)黨

12. 用在the very 強調句中

This is the very book I want. 這就是我想要的那本書。

13. 在the more, the more 比較級的句式中

The more you drink, the more youlike it. 你越喝就越愛喝。

14. 表示演奏樂器時，樂器的前面要加the

play the piano 彈鋼琴play the violin拉小提琴

* 中國樂器名詞前不與冠詞連用:play erhu(二胡)

15. 某些固定的表達法

16. the 加單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞可以表示一類人或事物

18 多與民族國籍的形容詞連用

The Chinese are brave hard-working people 中國人是勤勞和勇敢的人

19. 用于報刊雜志會議條義歷史時期朝代的名詞前

零冠詞的用法

1專有名詞、抽象名詞和物質名詞前不加冠詞。

如：

Wisdom is better than strength.智慧勝于力量。

Blood is thicker than water.血濃于水。

2表示交通工具和學科名稱的名詞前不加冠詞。如：

by car坐汽車 /by ship坐船 /by plane坐飛機 /on foot步行

English 英語/French法語/Chinese漢語/mathematics 數(shù)學/physics 物理/chemistry 化學

3節(jié)假日、星期、月份、季節(jié)等名詞前不加冠詞。如：

National Day國慶節(jié)/May Day五一節(jié)/Teachers' Day教師節(jié)

Sunday星期天/spring春天/August八月

4在唯一的職務、頭銜的名詞前不加冠詞。如：

We elected him manager of our company.我們選他為公司的經(jīng)理。

George was elected president of that country last year.去年喬治當選為那個國家的總統(tǒng)。

在普通名詞+ as的讓步狀語從句中不加冠詞。如

5：

Child as Fred is，he knows a great deal.弗瑞德雖然是個孩子，卻懂得很多事情。

Hard task as he took，Glen managed to finish it on time.任務雖然很艱巨，格林還是準時完成了。

6在報紙標題、圖像說明、文章題目、標志、廣告前不加冠詞。

如：

Worker's Mind工人的心聲(報紙標題)

Notes on the Study of Hong Lou Meng《紅樓夢》研究札記

Girl Wanted招聘女侍者一名(廣告)

7在一些固定詞組中不加冠詞。如：

at home在家 by mistake出錯step by step逐漸 learn by heart記住day and night日日夜夜 in sight看見at first最初　at last終于by chance碰巧　by accident偶然by way of通過/為了in face of面對
